There are a lot of factors that go into this, including event size, duration, and even whether alcohol is served. On construction sites, one toilet is recommended for every ten workers. How many handwashing stations do I need?
The portable service rule of thumb is a 2:1 ratio. For every two portable restrooms, one handwashing station is recommended.

Do I have to provide a handicapped portable restroom?
For a public event, at least one handicapped portable restroom is required for every ten standard portable restrooms.

Can you use normal toilet paper in a portable restroom?
Toilet chemical suppliers generally recommend using 'quick dissolve' toilet paper with your unit. An appropriate amount of toilet paper will be provided with each restroom unit rented.

Can you put paper towels in a porta-potty?
Just be sure that any toiletries you use are septic-safe; this means you'll want to avoid the following items in the portable toilet: feminine products, paper towels, and baby wipes. Rule of thumb: if you wouldn't flush it down your own toilet, please do not place in ours.
